OUR MISSION

Crosspoint is a fellowship aimed to become more like Jesus and have a relevant faith in our world.

OUR VISION

What is our role in such a time as this?

Time to move forward — We do not want to just see the fire and say that it is awesome. We do not want to just taste the love of God, but we want to live in it. We do not want to just hear miraculous stories of God, but we want to be part of his story.

It is time to paddle hard to surf on the wave that is coming. We want to ignite a spark and create a crosspoint to empower and equip the next generation, to be the salt and light of the world — making our faith relevant in the world today.

So, we are planting a new church in our city.

How? Firstly, we want to find answers from the Bible and through hearing from God. And as much as we are strongly placed on the biblical foundations, we want to be as creative and innovative as possible in our expressions. This church will warmly welcome and include all as Jesus did, yet we should be able to say “all in” when it comes to accepting his invitation to go further to be more like Jesus — being his apprentices/disciples.

This church may not be a place where many will end up settled and live a comfortable life, but we pray that this church will be a crosspoint where we can be equipped and learn to have a relevant faith in our world — in our workplaces, schools and neighbourhoods. And that we may go to nations or other cities or back to our hometown with the fire.

We pray that this church will be a crosspoint where many will encounter Jesus (personal experience), grow emotionally and spiritually healthy, and be the salt and light of this world.

What we do is: hear from God, trust him and obey.

OUR VALUES

We believe the Bible as the inspired and authoritative Word of God and the absolute reference point for every aspect of our everyday lives.

Know God — We are committed to know God, His nature, His character and His ways as revealed in the Bible, the inspired and authoritative Word of God. We seek to know God so that we may live as true witnesses and reflect who he is in every aspect of our lives and ministry. (2 Kings 19:19; Job 42:5; Psalm 46:10; Psalm 103:7-13; Jeremiah 9:23-24; Hosea 6:3; John 17:3; Ephesian 1:16-17; Philippians 3:7-11; 1 John 2:4-6)

Discipleship — We are called to be disciple makers through helping individuals to find their identity in Jesus — to be the salt and light in the world. We believe that the salvation of souls should lead to the transformation of societies, fulfilling Jesus’ command to make disciples of all nations. (1 Chronicles 16:24-27; Psalm 68:11; Psalm 71:15-16; Psalm 145:4-7; Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Acts 13:1-4a; Romans 10:8-15; Romans 15:18-21)

Relationship — We are created for fellowship and through truthful relationships we may grow healthy together. We are dedicated to being relationship-oriented in our living and working together. We desire to be united through lives of holiness, mutual support, transparency, humility, and open communication. (Leviticus 19:18; Psalm 133:1-3; Proverbs 17:17; Pro 27:10; John 13:34-35; John 15:13-17; John 17:20-23; Romans 13:8-10; 1 John 1:7; 1 John 4:7-12)
